The Qiddiya High-Speed Rail will link King Salman International Airport, King Abdullah Financial District, and Qiddiya City in about 30 minutes. Trains designed for 250 km/h promise reliable, high-capacity service across vital business and leisure anchors. The Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) leads delivery with the National Center for Privatization & PPP and Qiddiya Investment Company as partners. The corridor targets tight headways, strong safety, and intuitive station design that eases transfers for families, visitors, and executives. Additionally, the service supports cleaner mobility by shifting peak car trips to efficient electric rail. As Riyadh scales its economy and welcomes more travelers, fast airport access strengthens tourism, investor confidence, and workforce productivity. Moreover, station precincts can catalyze mixed-use development and last-mile options. The project sets a spine for integrated services while advancing quality of life. Together, these features underline a citywide commitment to speed, comfort, and dependable journeys.

This corridor is planned to dovetail with Riyadh Public Transport for a single, seamless trip from runway to destination. Interchanges will emphasize short walks, barrier-free access, and clear wayfinding so passengers move confidently between modes. Digital systems will enable through-ticketing, live service updates, and performance dashboards that keep operations accountable. Consequently, travelers can plan airport arrivals with greater certainty, even during large events. Stations will support taxis, shuttles, and micromobility, expanding last-mile choices across dense districts.

Riyadh’s growth and entertainment pipeline create a durable market for fast rail. King Salman International Airport targets very large passenger volumes over the coming decades, which increases the need for rapid surface links to business and leisure hubs. Qiddiya City spans a vast footprint with sports, culture, and theme-park attractions that generate all-day, all-week travel. Consequently, balanced demand from residents, tourists, and business travelers can support frequent services and healthy ridership. Moreover, the corridor advances Saudi Vision 2030 goals by cutting emissions, improving access, and encouraging transit-oriented development around stations. Measurable benefits include shorter journey times, reduced congestion, and improved reliability across multimodal connections. In addition, the program supports skills transfer, technology adoption, and local supplier capacity. Those outcomes help embed resilient operations while deepening national expertise in high-speed passenger systems and digitally enabled asset management.

RCRC invites specialized companies and investors to express their interest to participate in ‎the Qiddiya High-Speed Rail project, by sending an email to qhsr@rcrc.gov.sa and ‎submitting their applications  no later than October 12, 2025 at 18:00 Saudi time.‎
